Sukashi Kama Tsuba

An attractive sukashi tsuba depicting Kama sickles. The Japanese had many terms for different types of sickle. Gardening has been a favorite pass time in Japan for centuries. Kama were made famous in martial arts from their non-horticultural use by clandestine shinobi (ninja).
